The role

Sales Support:
Managing the Sales Support team means actively providing best in class service. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience from inquiry to delivery. Provide support in answering product-related questions, addressing concerns, and facilitating smooth transactions.
Provide product information, pricing details, and quotations to potential customers to facilitate the sales process, addressing up-sell and cross-selling oppurtinities.

Customer Care:
Managing the Customer Care team involves ensuring customers and consumers receive prompt and effective support. This includes handling inquiries and warranties, resolving issues, and providing guidance to the customer care team.

Team Leadership and Development:
As a manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing your team in both Halfweg and Roosendaal. This involves tasks such as hiring and training new staff, setting performance goals, providing regular feedback, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Sales Process Optimization:
Analyze existing processes and systems in both sales support and customer care, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall sales experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaboration with other departments such as marketing, inventory management, logistics and innovation is essential. This ensures alignment across the organization and enables smooth coordination of activities related to sales support and customer service.

Problem Solving:
Dealing with customer and consumer issues and resolving them effectively requires strong problem-solving skills. You'll need to be able to quickly assess situations, identify solutions, and implement them in a timely manner.

Metrics and Reporting:
Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to our monthly sales targets and our customer and consumer satisfaction is necessary for assessing performance and making data-driven decisions. As a manager, you'll be responsible for analyzing these metrics and generating advise for senior management.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Proficiency in CRM software is required for this role. You will use CRM tools to track customer interactions, follow-up on customer visits with the team, and ensure that customer data is accurately maintained.

Customer Satisfaction and Retention:
Ultimately, the goal of sales support and customer service is to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. As a manager, you'll play a key role in developing strategies to achieve these objectives and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Overall, the role of Manager of Sales Support is multifaceted and requires a combination of leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to succeed.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all commercial activities. Perform quality checks on documents, orders, and data entries to maintain accuracy and integrity.

About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial roles (minimal 5 years experience) or related administrative roles, preferably within the outdoor cooking or consumer goods industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools, with netsuite experience a plus
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, processes and generate actionable insights.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets and business objectives.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
  • Ability to be present at both our offices (Roosendaal and Halfweg) 2 times a week.
