Your challenge

As Head of Buying & Supply Chain, you will be responsible for the entire purchasing and supply chain and make an important contribution to the further optimization of the purchasing processes within our organization. In recent years we have built a large network of suppliers both inside and outside the EU. The network will need to be further expanded and optimized to realize our further growth. 

What you will do

• As Head of Buying & Supply Chain, you will lead a team of buyers and supply chain planners (located across the Halfweg and Roosendaal locations, totaling 5 people) and report directly to the CFO;
• You will work closely with the Innovation department and to ensure that our new products are produced at the best possible supplier and an optimal purchase price is negotiated;
• You will actively seek out new suppliers within and outside of Europe. Travel will therefore be part of the job;
• You are responsible for sourcing our products and negotiating prices, production times, quality, shipping and delivery conditions/deposits. In doing so, you provide the CFO and management with assurance and progress in the chain on a periodic basis;
• You will assist your team in placing purchase orders and coordinate the follow-up of purchase orders placed (ensuring that all purchase orders are delivered on time as agreed);
• You will coordinate quality controls in coordination with our suppliers and partners in Asia and other countries;
• You handle contract management and carefully document agreements and results.

Location for this position is Halfweg, but you will be at our office in Roosendaal on a weekly basis.

What do you bring

Our new Head of Buying & Supply Chain has extensive experience in purchasing, supply chain and manufacturing. You know what is required of a purchasing department in a modern organization and find it interesting to contribute to the further growth of our company. The keywords here are: quality, price, risk and footprint.

To fill this position appropriately, it is important that you have the following requirements:

• You have a completed college or university degree in Supply Chain or Purchasing and recent and demonstrable experience in a similar position;
• You have a minimum of 8-10 years working experience in procurement & production with Asia experience;
• You preferably have experience in lifestyle and consumer products in a wholesale setting;
• You have leadership experience;
• You have a pragmatic and entrepreneurial attitude and possess decisive negotiation skills;
• You are analytical, commercial, stress resistant, problem solving and a full-fledged interlocutor for our international suppliers;
• You are sharp, flexible and willing to build your team;
• You can switch easily: from product development, process support to delivery, quality control, as well as commercial to financial;
• You have knowledge of Excel and ICT systems;
• You are willing to travel;
• You are fluent in Dutch and English.
